greencabella: Sowing the field with the children

Finally a greenteam's dream come true!
On the hillside where will be built the next Camping we have many field.
In the meantime we decided to sow some wheat. We went to our friend Giuseppe Oglio, a farmer and seed saver, asking him some old seeds. As he knew we wanted to do a festival of sowing with our kids, he made a gift to us of 30kg of "senatore capelli" an ancient quality of local seed. We wanted to sow in a natural way, we ask a local farmer to plough only a little bit the soil, not more than 15cm.

Than we put the bag in front of the big picture of Mother in the Hangar all night long to be vibrated ...also by the kids.

The saturday afternoon the boys came and another friend, Tom, our organic vegetable supplier, to come and explain what Mother Nature does with the little seeds. One of them when it grows, will transform in a ear of wheat made of 4 lines of 11 seeds, 44 seeds. In july we will see the results.

Than we made two lines of sowers each one with a bag of seeds, and they sow the all field.
A nice merenda made of bread (the product of the wheat) and jam make the kids enjoy!
