Living Valley present Permaculture Design Course (PDC) in Cabella

Living Valley – Cabella Eco-Skills & Meditation Centre, Cabella

“….when Adi Shakti started working on this Mother Earth. The first thing is we must know, that she created a Kundalini in the Mother Earth itself and She created Shri Ganesha out of the Mother Earth, it’s very interesting. So the Mother Earth becomes a very important thing for us. If we do not know how to respect the Mother Earth, we do not know how to respect ourselves.”
(Adi Shakti puja, 1997.5.25)

Dearest Brothers and Sisters,

Some of you may remember last year’s launch of the Cabella Living Valley project, which aims to bring together a beautiful marriage of Sahaj principles and ecologically sustainable agriculture and lifestyle.

The idea is for those who are interested to help lead a change in the world, where Divine vibrations combine with permaculture design and other eco practices.

To this end we are delighted to announce a very special Permaculture Design Course (PDC) to be held in Cabella on:

June 13th to June 25th 2017.

The course will be held by renowned permaculturists John Button and Francesca Simonetti of the www.naturedesignsjohnfranci.com   (in English)

The PDC is a world renowned ecological course which is recognised everywhere as one of the most powerful and comprehensive ways to learn about sustainable agriculture and lifestyles. Contrary to many myths, it is not just a ‘gardening’ course, but instead looks deeply at the concept of living with nature in a holistic and very practical way. In the course we will:

* Learn about the 9 methods of bio-region design
* The critical importance of water and how to optimise its usefulness
* Rehabilitation of degraded soil
* Integrated ‘pest’ management

...and much much more

The course offers an excellent foundation for anyone who is seriously interested in food production, living with nature and ecological livelihoods, and is especially important as we move through a time of increasing climate uncertainty.

The 12 day course will be centred at Centrassi Villa, and all attendees will obtain an official Permaculture Design Course Certificate at the end of the time. The full course costs are:

€ 400 per head for sahaja yogis
€ 550 per head for non sahaja yogis

We would also like to offer course sponsorship for 3 refugees, as well as 2 yuva shakti, depending on need.

Accommodation is available for 13 days at Centrassi Villa for €15 per night, with food only at €10 per day.

Work days will include theoretical study in Centrassi Villa, plus site visits and study on the land at Mulino and the land adjacent to the Castle.

The object will be to apply the lessons of the course to our very own Sahaj land as a primary goal for the future.

Spaces unfortunately are very limited due to the number of people that can be taught at one time, so preference will be given on a first come first served basis. In other words, apply immediately to ezio.prandini@sahajaworldfoundation.org

Sowing the field with the children

Finally a greenteam's dream come true!
On the hillside where will be built the next Camping we have many field.
In the meantime we decided to sow some wheat. We went to our friend Giuseppe Oglio, a farmer and seed saver, asking him some old seeds. As he knew we wanted to do a festival of sowing with our kids, he made a gift to us of 30kg of "senatore capelli" an ancient quality of local seed. We wanted to sow in a natural way, we ask a local farmer to plough only a little bit the soil, not more than 15cm.

Palazzo Doria Gardens

Dear green,
Over the last few months we have had the opportunity to meet in Cabella and to develop some ideas about the restyling of the gardens around the Castle.
Individually we have lots of ideas, but our desire is to develop projects collectively as a Sangha. We would, therefore, like to invite anyone who wants to share their ideas, projects and commitment to kindly fill in this form and send it to us before the end of February. We plan to hold a practical seminar in March in which we can start work for the Spring.

Let’s work togehter to create an Eden around the abode of the Devi.
